Constellations! was created later in this project and was probably the most difficult song to write and record. We had several ideas for what we wanted, but putting them into play only seemed to bring about results we weren't pleased with. We let the song sit for a long time, hoping to figure out what to do with it. We had about half the song written with the intent to have a full set of lyrics over top of what was already finished.

Drew recalls that as the last few songs were being finished, he asked Stephen what they were going to do about this tricky title track, to which Stephen said he was pretty much done with the song and didn't have any good ideas for it. Drew took another look and it, added a bridge and some words, a final instrumental chorus and an outro and called it good. Later Stephen said he liked what Drew did with it, albeit still nothing really like what the duo had in mind for the song.

Constellations! sets the stage for the concept of the album.
Lost, hurt, confused, and beginning the search for a way out.

I was a sun in her sky
She was a star in my night
I'd do anything to be back where I belong

It's dark and cold out here alone
Someone please help me get come
Oh, save me quickly, I feel myself falling from the sky
